But we have just tried a new system for using student smart phones as clickers and we are so pleased with the results that we thought we needed to share the good news. TurningTechnologies has smart phone apps that emulate their popular clicker system, but cost much less. Students who don't have a smart phone can still use a clicker, but for most students it will be cheaper to use their smart phone.  A free 30 day trial is available for those who want to experiment.
